What is Spina Bifida?

       In the United States every year, there's about  1,427 babies are born with spina bifida or 1 in every 2,758 births. Spina Bifida is a birth defect that affects the spine and is  usually apparent at birth.     Spina Bifida can happen anywhere alongside the spine if  the neural tube does not close all the way(NTD). When the neural tube does not close all the way, the bone that protects the spinal cord  doesn’t mold and close as it should. This often results in damage to the spinal cord and nerves.   Spina Bifida may cause physical and  psychological  disabilities that range from mild to severe.  The intensity depends on The size and location of the opening of the spine. If  part of the spinal cord and nerves are affected.   Type of Spina Bifida 1. Myelomeningocele is the most serious type of Spina Bifida. with this condition, fluid build-up comes through the opening in the child back.  fragment of the spinal cord and nerves are in the sac and damaged. If you live with a disability, you have three options for health coverage from the government. Medicaid, Medicare and Affordable care act Marketplace. Medicaid provides free or low-cost medical benefits to people with disabilities, Medicare provides medical health insurance to people under 65 who have certain disabilities and any age with end-stage renal disease (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant), and the Affordable Care act Marketplace offers options to people who live with a disability, don’t qualify for disability benefits, and need health coverage. According to USA Government. Living with a disability or condition isn't easy as cutting a slice of pie. Especially, the countless days and nights dealing with doctors are when you are sitting at the doctor's office. How many of you can raise your hand with a smile on your face--you're proud of your medical insurance and how your doctors treat your condition? We bet not many are

How can we help each other when it comes to learning. Especially, people with different learning disabilities? though playing educational games. Why you can turn any game into something educational. Playing game's helps with hand and eye coronation. Some may beg to differ and that's okay with us. When Katrina Smith was growing up she found herself playing different types of games, any type of game's caught her attention. Let's just put it this way, Memory games and any type of board game or video games was her thing, and it still is her thing.
