Show Your Support

Orangie red background the text says Show your support. The Living With Disabilities Advocacy Website

Welcome to the Living With Disabilities Advocacy website. First and foremost. Self-published author Katrina Smith, a person of many accomplishments, has written six volumes in total: two cookbooks and four collections of poetry. Her favorite activities include reading and writing. Katrina would be described by one word: determined. Despite any challenges she may encounter, she does not let unkind comments decide her fate.

If you're a new visitor to this advocacy website, this page's goal is to increase public understanding of those who live with disabilities and other conditions. We suggest that anything you read on this site you seek out a licensed professional counselor or healthcare provider.

This week, Living With Disabilities will be talking about our project that will help adults continue their education, along with many other missions for adults who have a hard time navigating through life as a person with a disability.

It was Katrina Smith's college experience that inspired us to do more than just conduct interviews and distribute articles; we want you to share in her journey. Moreover, run a different talk show where the host would converse with five to ten panelists about various subjects.

After years of applying to college after college after college, Katrina's doors to college finally opened in 2015. You could call it "frustration city," because every time Katrina tries, it makes her unhappy and angry. After the doors had opened and she had completed the assessment, it was time to start taking classes—just one at a time, not five or more.

She spent some time navigating the difficulties of finding a tutor after having one in college as the journey to get one started. Even after visiting her, the tutor, and leaving to put what she has learned into practice on her own, it gets harder for her to do so. Hour after hour, she would sit and try to make what she had learnt work. Even though she had seen the tutor, it was still tough to not have a helper after school.

The host's experience will once more be used by Living With Disabilities to create a program for other individuals who are going through the same thing. Without asking for your help, we cannot develop this program. If you would like to make a donation, large or Small.  https://www.paypal.com/paypal.me/TrinaSmith16

Our purpose is to open up financial opportunities for those who require assistance to succeed.
