Welcome to the Living With Disabilities Advocacy website. First and foremost. Self-published author Katrina Smith, a person of many accomplishments, has written six volumes in total: two cookbooks and four collections of poetry. And is currently working on her self-help/autobiography. Her favorite activities include reading and writing. Katrina would be described by one word: determined. Despite any challenges she may encounter, she does not let unkind comments decide her fate.

If you're a new visitor to this advocacy website, this page aims to increase public understanding of those with disabilities and other conditions.

We suggest you seek a licensed professional counselor or healthcare provider for anything you read on this site.

This week, Living With Disabilities will reflect on our community by observing its current state.

Living With Disabilities started when the host, Katrina Smith, realized the challenges of living with self-abnegation. This was her way of not only helping herself but also shining a light on the disabilities and conditions of many others. Living With Disabilities will be celebrating its ninth anniversary on March 31, 2024. The day Living With Disabilities welcomed its first guest on the show. Although Jessica Fay wasn't the first guest on the show, she made a lasting impression on the host. How would you motivate others to talk about their disabilities? arised. Her response stuck with the host and continues to resonate. It's important to give yourself time to process your emotions before discussing your disability with a few trusted individuals. When you're ready to share with others, seek out those you feel comfortable talking to. However, many other individuals influenced the host's current advocacy.

Have you ever noticed how your community reflects society as a whole? By coming together as a group, speaking up on accessibility, and advocating for others, you are not only voicing for them but for everyone.
This article is heartbreaking, but Living With Disabilities must speak on it. It has to start somewhere, and it begins now!

If we want to see change, we must be the change. Living With Disabilities is approaching its ninth year, and in its eight-year history, it has experienced both successes and challenges within society. However, there has been an insignificant downgrade in communication among our community members. Why are some members of our community reflecting society's negative behavior towards each other? To avoid your shoes from falling off, make sure to tighten up the laces and familiarize yourself with the program. Remember to take small steps and adjust accordingly.

We need to stop relying on ableist assumptions. If you're attempting to demonstrate the negative impact of ableism on society, it's important not to use ableist labels yourself. Let's work together to combat ableism. Let's collaborate and come up with ideas to engage and involve our community in social and active events. It takes a community to effect change, so gather your neighbors and share the improvements you think are necessary. Let that concept motivate you as you work, and when it becomes a reality, remember that you accomplished it not only for yourself but also for others.

Some people may not speak right away, but they are observant and take in what they see and hear. The greatest outcome comes from combining everything, just like the greatest escape. Living with Disabilities has noticed, experienced, and spoken out about these challenges before. It's time to represent your values by taking action. Reflect on what you want and avoid mirroring others.
