Dream Ability

First, welcome to the Living With Disabilities Advocacy Website. It's run by none other than Katrina Smith, a person with a learning disability. Her mission behind Living With Disabilities is to bring awareness to all people with disabilities.

Today, Living With Disabilities wants to talk about the dreams of people with disabilities.

Let's go into this topic with a game plan. Living With Disabilities will, ideally, alter the way you view those with disabilities. But first, when you hear the word "dream," what is the first thing that comes to mind? a message sent to you via creative stories. These tales don't always include a lesson that applies to you specifically. But in these dream sequences, there is always a key.

The phrase "abled body" will be used by Living With Disabilities to describe a person without a disability. An active person can follow their goals and desires. The same is true for those who are disabled. A person with a disability must, however, overcome some challenges to realize these ideal objectives. A person with a disability seems to face more challenges than someone without a disability. Living With Disabilities thought about discussing this in a conversation.

People with disabilities have learned a lot about how to fit in with society. However, I've only seen a handful of places that have done so. Even so, there's still work to be done in our society.

A "HUGE" exclamation mark is left in the air! Hopefully, Living With Disabilities has some solutions to this problem. Let's speak about what dreams are for persons with disabilities in the meantime.

You start to see a luxury house on a hill somewhere when you think of dreams. But for a person with a disability, that is very different from what Dreams are.

Why not conduct this as a social experiment with able-bodied people? A tablet and a pen or pencil must be available. Reach out to anyone you know who has a disability and inquire about some of their dreams. Like, what do they want to see established in society? They will tell you the truth, so don't be shocked by what you hear. After hearing what they have to say, come up with a solution and consider how you may help them realize their dream.

Here, Living With Disabilities will share its dream: Businesses that have welcomed customers with disabilities are recognized with the Inclusion badge by Living With Disabilities. You paid attention to the requirements of your staff for them to succeed.

It is now time to think with an open mind if your company issues walking tickets with a grin. As you have been working for far too long with a closed mind.

 Corporate to Hiring managers,

People with disabilities are the same as people without disabilities. It's unfortunate to refer to both groups of individuals in this manner. Living with a disability must demonstrate that there are two different types of people. However, the only difference is that a person with a disability needs accommodations while at work. Whether it's a desk that can be accessed by someone who uses a mobility device, etc. People with disabilities must be able to support themselves to achieve success similar to that of their able-bodied colleagues. So here's another social experiment for corporate recruiting managers: whether you're on your lunch break or just have the day off, spend some time to get to know someone with a disability and ask them about obtaining a job and what they think you can improve about your company to meet their requirements. You'll be astounded by what you hear.

Some people have disabilities from birth, and others develop them as they become older, according to a proverb. as you can never be certain if you'll ever have a disability.  Make your business ADA compliance.

Make this dream a reality for all abilities, you have written out questions and interviewed your people. It's now time to apply and begin to change for the better.
